She conceived just after her 47th birthday

A friend of mine is TTC [trying to conceive] and she knows a lady called June who has just given birth to her OWN child at 47. The story is written up in September Mother and Baby magazine in the UK but here is a synopsis...

June met her husband in her 40's - he is now 46. They got pregnant several times but each resulted in miscarriage. After being given the DE [donor egg] speech ....

Finally June decided it must be something to do with implantation and thought that progesterone and heparin might help. No UK clinic would help her except an older woman friendly UK RE [reproductive endocrinologist] called Dr Najia. She got pregnant again and with the nuchal scan was given a 1 in 120 for Downs.

The pregnancy went ahead well and she gave birth to a completely healthy baby boy at 47 years old! She conceived just after her 47th birthday.

    hi, to the woman that said that less than 1% of women 40 to 44 have babies, well you are NOT unique..and that stat is very wrong.

    Please don't try to build yourself up by tearing the truth down.

    It isn't a unique thing.

    Hi everyone. I am 43 years old and just had a positive pregnancy test today. I was not on any fertility drugs, not monitoring my cycle, nothing. I have a 3 year old a 24 year old, 20 year old and a 16 year old. My second mariage with the 3 year old and we decided that fate would determined if we had a second child together. We were previously 2 years ago on fertility treatments and nothing came out of it. I started taking natural herbs for menopause symptoms as I read about a woman who lowered her hormone levels by taking these and became pregnant. I became pregnant the same month I started usin them ( Jamieson product) So here we are feeling lucky and happy.
