I'm 47 & found out I'm pregnant

Well, I must be the oldest 'mother to be' here - I am 47 years old, and found out I was pregnant a few days ago - according to my dates, I’m approx 8.5 weeks pregnant.

  1. I just turned 47 and I think I am pregnant. It's too soon for a pregnancy test but I know the signs and I'm pretty confident in my self diagnosis -- and more than a little surprised. We have one 18 year old daughter and tried and tried to have a second child for years, to no avail. My husband is 10 years older than I but he's as giddy at the prospect as he was the first time around. Now I'm searching around for info online -- which wasn't available in 1990!

  4. I have been trying to get pregnant for several yrs. Had a miscarraige 4 days before my 40th birthday...At 44 yrs.old, I was inseminated, did not work...gave up..tried again on my own for almost 2years...failed. Now I am 46 and a half...missed my period..could this be a pregnancy?
If so, I won't believe it until I have a test?
