I am 46 & found myself pregnant late Sept

I too am 46 and found myself pregnant late September. I had years of infertility, one ovary and now an adopted 17 year old and an 8 year old conceived via AI [artificial insemination].

I had very mixed feelings. I saw my OB/gyn who said I had a 50% chance of a miscarriage and odds of birth defects very high. Still, I secretly became excited and resolved that one way or another I would work it out.
