Dr has two 47y with healthy pregnancies in his practice

My 47 year old sister called me the other day. She had just been to her OB/gyn, who insisted that she use birth control, if she did not want to have more kids. He told her that he currently has two 47 year olds with healthy, viable pregnancies in his practice.

This is only one doctor. Just think how many others there are. You never know, and I certainly keep the hope and continue to eat the right foods and try everything. You just don't know.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
