I'm 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. at 45

Saw the doctor. He explained it all to me so nicely - he said you're not so young, it is perfectly possible for you to have a baby, right up to your 50's, but, just now, your eggs have forgotten what to do & the Clomid makes you fire out several eggs at a time, in the hope that one of them will get fertilised and remember what to do! I thought this was so nice & logical..

Anyway, what do you know !! I'm 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. I know it is way too early to be telling the world etc., but, I'm just so happy & I do feel that this will be ok - I hope so, anyway. First ultra scan showed a little heartbeat (6 weeks 4 days) which is a good sign - Lindy, 45

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
