My grandmother had 3 children in her 40's

RE: It is, of course, possible that there might be a few who might have stretched the truth a bit in their post, or mis-remembered the person's age.

That’s true, and but its hard to believe that 3,800+ people are "all" telling a lie or making up a story. Sure, maybe 1 or 2 of them made it up. But that small number is irrelevant. My grandmother had 3 children in her 40's, and I grew up not believing it to be unusual at all for a 40+ woman to get pregnant.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
