I am expecting a boy at 45

I am also 45 and have a 20 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. I am also expecting a boy on 10/28.

I don't quite know if I thought this was menopause, but I was clearly in denial. I have had a really great pregnancy, aside from the usual last month stuff. I am at the point where I want it to end now...

Last night my son, my husband, and myself put the crib together and the bedding on. It made it very real. Me and my husband looked at each other and said "in a few weeks we are having another baby in this house!!"

It is sometimes surreal.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
