Her last born when she was 44
My grandmother had ten children -- her last three children came when she was 40, 42, and 44.
Please be assured of one thing: not one of those children came out with Down's Syndrome -- every one of those girls were absolute spit-fires, (just like their mother).
My mother and aunts were born in 1936, '38, and '40, before all of these medical procedures could make her become consumed with all of this worry.

Thank you! I'm 38 and already worried that we might not be able to conceive or that there might be significant health issues if I do get pregnant. I can breathe a little easier now knowing that it's possible.

Everyone has their own issues, but to tell women to give up just because the statistics are low is so unfair.
Before birth control, women just kept having babies until menopause hit (or they kicked their husbands out of the bedroom LOL)!
