My husband and I were married last July (my 1st marriage), and immediately dropped birth control, figuring we could TTC [try to conceive] , and have more fun while we were at it. I was 44, now 45, but have always been active and felt healthy, so it didn't seem totally impossible.
My baby is a good sized young boy, and very normal, active, and limber according to my serial ultrasonography studies. My glucose testing, blood pressure, and other tests have all been normal. I will be 27 weeks tomorrow, but am carrying so high and so far forward, everyone thinks I'm having twins or am very close to delivery.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
