My name is Christie. I am new to this group. I married late in life (39, two months shy of 40). I am 45 years young and just gave birth to our son six weeks ago (yes, my eggs and my husband's sperm... LOL).

We have a daughter who is 3 1/2, gave birth to her at age 41 (two months shy of 42). I have found that groups like these are wonderful to be a part of especially in TTC [trying to conceive] at an older age.

I joined a couple of groups before I even had children..... Wasn't sure at the time if we would even be able to have children (due to age, etc.). So for all of you out there TTC... It is possible, over 40, even at age 45! Hang in there!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
