My friend had her 9th child at 49

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Friday, May 23, 2008 | 0 comments

I'm 41 years old, and am just starting my 25th week of pregnancy with my third child.

My good friend had her 9th child at age 49, and I have a feeling she'll have even MORE children [she wants a really big family].

My grandma had her tenth at age 49.

Another woman I know had her FIFTEENTH at age 49.

I saw a woman on TV two days ago, that had a baby at age 62 [IVF (in vitro fertilization) assisted], and everything went great.

Even though I'm 41, I'll take all the children the good Lord will send to me - I believe that if He wants you to have them, you'll have them.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
