Mom was 45 when she had my little sister

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Thursday, July 02, 2009 | 0 comments

You’re not too old. My mother was 45 when she had my little sister. I was 17, my brother was 20. Built in babysitters. We were all shocked, but super excited also. You will have lots of help with the little one.

I hope everything turns out for you. I just wanted to let you know about my mom. My sister is now almost 12, and as healthy as a horse.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
