It was her only child at 52

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Sunday, September 25, 2011 | 1 comments

The naturopath I work with treated a 52 year old woman who was in the beginning stages of menopause. She also had chronic fatigue syndrome.

He worked with her for about a year and she became pregnant and had a healthy baby. It was her only child. There are other stories of natural pregnancies over 50. It can happen!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

  1. That is very inspiring. I wonder about the details of the naturopath. I am 49 and have adrenal fatigue, sleep apnea and now think I am hypo. I wonder if there is hope for me still.
