Ann Conlon-Smith, a mother in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA who lost a lot of blood after her caesarean delivery of twins at the age of 47, found herself with a low milk supply that lagged for three months.

"It was an awful time and I was terrified - I didn't know if I was 'too old to breastfeed' or just what had happened." Determined for her twins to receive no less than their singleton siblings did, Ann persevered and her milk supply did improve.
