I am currently 12 weeks pregnant at 44

My name is Laurel and I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. My husband, Steve and I thought we were done with the baby making, but apparently nature thought otherwise. We have six beautiful children ranging in age from 20 to 6 years old.

I am definitely dealing with the consequences of being older. Being preggers at 44 is definitely not the same as being pregnant at 24. The morning sickness has been all day long sickness, I pee every 10 minutes and I have been exhausted.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
