Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Tuesday, November 21, 2006 | 0 comments

Yes at 46 years - my first from natural pregnancy!

Here is my history:
We started saving our money for DE [donor egg] and in Dec 03 on my 45th birthday BW [blood work] confirmed I was pregnant but again it was a chemical [early pregnancy loss]. Then a year later in Dec 04 and I am now 21 weeks!

The last 2 pregnancies I was not doing anything out of the ordinary, no ovulation prediction tests, no progesterone support, no special diet, don't exercise much, I don't drink much alcohol, don't smoke, but I drank coffee every day and always take folic acid & a multi vitamin, my getting pregnat at 46 is because of 3 things: luck (good egg) timing (bd [baby dancing - sex] at the right time of ovulation) and God

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
