I turned 47 last October, and to find out after New Year's that I was pregnant was a shock to my husband and I. I have had 5 healthy children 31, 30, 26, 20 and 15 years old (4 girls & 1 boy)
I got remarried, just last year, to a man who has never had children because of his busy lifestyle. First it was a bit of a shock to him. For one, he had a benign tumour in one of his testes and was told a couple of years ago his sperm count was low.
He then went through a 2nd stage of 'okay, it is our responsibility'... To now been so excited to be a dad on Sept 1 for the first time.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
