At 45, I have my 1st, only & completely natural child

For seven years, doctors told me there would be no chance of having children. We tried insemination, and were told without donor eggs we would never have a child. To us, IVF [In Vitro Fertilization] was not a choice. We decided that if that is what God wanted for us, we would have to accept.
Ten years have passed and at 45, I was fortunate enough to have my first, only and completely natural child. My husband and I cherish each moment with our child. He is now 7 months old, and we wonder how empty our life would have been without ever knowing this experience in life.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
