I just got an e-mail from a current member of my 40PlusMoms yahoogroup about a woman ( "Linda" ) who dropped off the list last year because she got discouraged about TTC [trying to conceive] at age 45+.

The member has kept in touch with "Linda" (who does not want to use her real name) by e-mail, and just got this news -- "Linda" was TTC with 50 mg of Clomid on cd 3 - 7 [cycle day] and also using Pre-Seed, got pregnant on her second cycle of this regimen at age 47.

"Linda" just went to the doctor and reports the pregnancy is going well.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
