45-yr-old infertility patient had her last child 13 years ago. FSH=7.8 [follicle stimulating hormone] Tried to get pregnant on their own for two years, with no success. She failed her first IUI [Intrauterine Insemination] in May 2004 and was told to have IVF [In Vitro Fertilization].

She wanted first to try acupuncture and started treatment on Feb. 7, 2005. After 9 acupuncture and herbal treatments she got pregnant naturally on 5/09/05 about months from her 1st visit with Dr. Lee.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
