She was 45 years old when she was born

My mom remarried when I was about 2 and my brother was 3. After 4 years of TTC [trying to conceive], she went in to the doctor and they couldn't find anything wrong with her. Tests showed that my step father's sperm couldn't swim, and the count was too low.

I think the chance of her becoming pregnant was one in a thousand chances (something like that). My mom gave up her dream of having more children, because she couldn't go through any more.

It took her 15 years to come to terms with this and with God, and guess what.... she got a beautiful, healthy, happy baby girl. She was 45 years old when she was born.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
