At 49, just gave birth to twins

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 | 0 comments

A lady in the UK had just given birth to twins (Feb 2004), and last week she celebrated her first Mother’s day and her 50th birthday, (she look very young for 50).

She had tried to get pregnant for nine years and thought it was never going to happen, then on holiday in France conceived naturally. She said she was stressed during the pregnancy because she didn't have any tests done on the babies because of miscarriage risk, but gave birth by c-section to a healthy boy and girl.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
