Tonight on Aussie TV was the story of Australia's oldest mum. She married at 46 and they had their first son by IVF [in vitro fertilization] 1 year later. A few years on she decided the boy needed a brother or sister.
Back to IVF, and after a couple of tries she decides to use her girlfriend's eggs because her's are too old by this stage. At 53 she gives birth to triplets, and the show tonight was on how she is coping with her 3 year old triplets!!!!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
