Just wanted to let you know I am 47 and I am 13 weeks pregnant. I too struggled to get pregnant for many years, with PCOS [Polycystic Ovary Syndrome] and one blocked tube, but some how managed to get pregnant all on my own without any fertility treatment.
I was told my eggs were probably too old, as I had a lot of chemical pregnancies, (eggs that did not implant) that was in June of this year. I have a good consultant now, who has helped me keep this pregnancy going by progesterone and heparin injections.
So have a good diet and take all your vitamins, think positive as I truly believe if you believe you can conceive then you will, I used to imagine my body pregnant, (not brooding over other people's babies) but thinking about having your own, hope this gives you some hope.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
