I’m 47 & found out that I'm pregnant

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Monday, April 30, 2007 | 2 comments

I’m happy to see that I’m not the only women here over 45... I’m 47, and found out that I'm pregnant... It’s still a shock to me, and I’m now hoping its not a mistake.. I had 3 pregnancy tests, and they all read the same. I’m scared about having a miscarriage since I had one 3 years ago on New Years’ Eve. - 47 and blessed... Judy

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
