I am 44 & pregnant

I am 44 and pregnant. I didn't use anything except OPK's [Ovulation Predictor Kits] and lots of sex. Miscarriage is part of the deal with getting pregnant over 40 (3 miscarriages in the last 18 months).

This pregnancy is going well, didn't have any tests etc after miscarriages, just kept trying. Have to use OPK's for as many days as it takes (ovulation is not always when you expect). Have been taking fish oil from the start of last cycle, so don’t know if this has made any difference but is meant to help in preventing miscarriages.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
