Pregnant at 45, on Clomid

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Monday, December 31, 2007 | 2 comments

Pregnant at 45 years old, on 2nd cycle of Clomid, my own egg. According to Doctor and midwives, having a "perfect pregnancy" so far (now 30 weeks). I am convinced a de-tox 3 weeks before conceiving did the trick for us!

All tests came back OK (Amniocentesis at 16 weeks & 20 week diagnostic scan). This is my first baby.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

Sorry, I don't have any further details on this story.

It would be interesting to know what she did though, wouldn't it?
