Baby due 2m before my 45th birthday

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Tuesday, January 15, 2008 | 1 comments

I would like to second the emotion that this is indeed possible. I am now on baby #3 in my 40's.

My first at 40, my second at 42 1/2 and this baby will be due 2 months before my 45th birthday. All conceived naturally.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

Congratulations, what a blessing! I had my first at 39, my second at 41, I'll be 44 soon, but am thinking about a third. I regret having my husband have a vasectomy in 2006 thinking we were two old for a third. Now we are thinking about a reversal for him. With my first, I think acupuncture contributed; the second, it just happened. Both were conceived naturally, and I had two natural childbirths with the help of a wonderful Doula. My second labor was only 4 hours. God bless you, this is an encouragement to me.
