my grandmother turned 50 when mom was born

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Wednesday, January 16, 2008 | 0 comments

I'm now 40, and we've just started trying for another little bundle of joy this month. I have high hopes that it will happen... When my mother was born, my grandmother turned 50 the following month!!

She was #8, and had 2 others in her 40's. This was all without all of the medical benefits that we have now! Anything is possible! I just stay positive, and hope that helps.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
