She was 47 & has a 1y old

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Saturday, February 09, 2008 | 0 comments

I just met someone YESTERDAY that was 47 and has a 1 year old. My 1st cousin, who I know well and trust, told me that this woman had been dating this man for many years, and they were about to be married when she found out she was pregnant.

They were NOT planning on having children and she didn't think she could even HAVE children. My cousin said they did not do IUI [Intrauterine insemination], IVF [in vitro fertilization], donor egg.... They just had S-E-X!!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
