I'm 44 & due in November

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Sunday, March 01, 2009 | 0 comments

We had two miscarriages last year, both around 5-6 weeks, and then got pregnant naturally in March. I started charting on Fertility Friend before the second miscarriage, and so I used the temperature and other symptoms I felt when ovulating. PLUS, knowing when to BD [baby dance] BEFORE the darn ovulation! I realized that I probably had some anovulatory cycles (I think!)

We were also five days away from our appt with the RE [reproductive endocrinologist] for IVF [in vitro fertilization]
! I'm 44 now, and due in November!!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
