48y old & having her 1st baby

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Sunday, July 05, 2009 | 0 comments

I wanted to share some more "OVER 45!" stories. I went to a new OB/Gyn this week. He told me he just had a patient this week who is 48 years old and is having her first baby! He explained that he has also delivered 2 babies this last month to woman over 40. All natural...all no complications!!=-)

I am starting TCM [Traditional Chinese Medicine] and acupuncture and my TCM doctor informed me that 2 woman, both who had numerous IVF's [in vitro fertilization] with no pregnancy, are now both pregnant!!! Both natural.

One of the woman had been trying for a year doing TCM and was about to give up, when she was blessed with a baby!!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
