I'm not an official mommy yet, but I will be seeing my OB [obstetrician] today to decide if we are going to induce or not. I'm not in my 40s, I'm 50 years old.

This is the first child for both my husband and myself. I don't feel much of a connection with a lot of younger moms, so I don't post that much any where.

So hopefully you all won't mind an old lady like me joining in. I didn't know about this group before, and it would really be nice to with a bunch of ladies that are even close to my age

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
