My husband and I had decided to give up TTC [trying to conceive] and I was OK with it. I had been taking a lot of different medicines trying to conceive, but nothing was working so I stopped taking all of it 2 cycles ago.
So this month I end up pregnant and now I'm freaking out. I wasn't being careful considering I had been trying to get pregnant for well over 2 years and nothing happened. I had a CT scan and now I'm scared about how that will affect the baby.
Not to mention being 45.5 isn't helpful either.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
