My 1st at 45, after many miscarriages

After six years of trying, beta is GREAT! I have not posted here in a while. I just wanted to share the good news to continue on your journeys to health. My second beta is 6700!

After many years of wasted treatments, IVFs, IVIGs, Humira, etc. I recently found out I had Lyme disease, treated it very aggressively with antibiotics, and we conceived naturally.

I am 5 weeks 5 days today. I am so stunned and amazed and thankful to God for this miracle.

You all might want to look into getting tested for Lyme. There are some new tests out that are far more accurate than the old ones. My husband and I both got treated for it.

Previously, I never had a beta over 70. This is my first, after many miscarriages. - Really Old Timer from this Board - 45 years old

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
