Child at 41, another at 44 and twins at 50

Stock Photo Credit: BethttShe had a child at 41 years old, another at 44 years old, and twins at 50 years old.

All with her own eggs!

I know she didn't do IVF [in vitro fertilization] or IUI [intra-uterine insemination]...

It was said that she'd call her husband and have him come home for lunch when she was ovulating.

They were a very wealthy couple... live in Georgetown, DC. She delivered the twins at Columbia Hospital for Women... it was big news (1994).

She was very healthy and very thin... and had more energy than the Energizer Bunny!

I don't know any of the logistics (clinic)... but thinking of her always inspired me too.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
