I am 44 and we are expecting #6 in May 2007. Rodney and I have been married 20 years and are parents to Sara (16 years old), Alex (10 years old), Lydia (6 years old), John (5 years old) and Stephen (2 years old).

I have enjoyed your website. I did a search on "pregnant and 44" and found you. It is wonderful to find other mommas excited about being a momma. We are very excited about #6.

The girls want another girl so they won't be "boy trapped". Alex wants a girl so he won't have to change diapers.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
