I had my baby girl at age 45 with my own egg, and it was my first pregnancy.

I conceived quickly, within two months of figuring out how to use a basal temperature chart.

Now, at age 47, it is proving more difficult to get pregnant.

But my theory is as long as you have a period, it can happen.

It's just a matter of hitting the right cycle.

So just be ready every cycle! Good luck to you!

-- Lisa - Proud 47-year-old mother to a very active 2 1/2-year-old

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
