I am 45 & 29 weeks along with my fifth child

I am 45 and 29 weeks along with my fifth child. I have sons ages 23, 21 and 16 and a 2 year old daughter. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes a month ago, but otherwise things have gone well.

I have a friend who was 45, and pregnant at the same time I was pregnant with my daughter. She now has a beautiful 2 year old son, also her fifth child. I know it's easy to say, but try not to worry too much take care of yourself and have a wonderful pregnancy.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
