Her mother was 52 when she was born

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Monday, December 11, 2006 | 0 comments

At the same board is another woman from Canada who I exchange posts with often. Her mother was 52 when she was born, and one of her sisters was still menstruating into her sixties. She is 47 or 48 and ttc, she has a 20 year old son.

And did you read Jeanne's post carefully, a 51 year old going through the same treatment for TTC [trying to conceive], and the doctor sounded rather matter-of-fact.

It's not over till it's over ladies! Keep up those fertile thoughts!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
