54y woman conceived twins with assistance

I went in for an ultrasound today and the technician who was 40 was saying that she was thinking of having another baby. She said she had "tons" of older mothers in, and that she had a 58 year old coming in. I said, "Oh, through fertility treatments?" and she said that it was natural.

She then mentioned that she also was working with a 54 year old woman who conceived twins with reproductive assistance, I just couldn't wait to post! I love stories like that!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
