I needed to schedule my annual mammogram. I start to tell the very nice scheduler that I may need to reschedule (half expecting a bit of shock or at least noncommittal response, at the age of 44 I'm trying to get pregnant?!?). So I explain that I may need to reschedule because....blah, blah, blah.
She gets ALL excited and starts wishing me all kinds of luck, etc. Shares a story that she used to work in OBgyn office before there, and right before she left there, a patient who had been trying to get pregnant for over 10 years delivered a very happy, healthy baby girl at the age of 46! (all natural....)

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
