I will be 44 when the baby comes

I'm expecting my 4th in November. I am still in denial. We haven't told the kids yet, but since I'm not feeling well a lot, they probably won't be surprised. My kids are 10, 12, and 14.

I'm 43, and will be 44 when the baby comes. I have been a basket-case since finding out. The doctors have been supportive. I go for a level 2 ultrasound on April 28.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
