Someone submitted my name above - what a shock - well today I have a beautiful boy born on his due date, a very healthy pregnancy, easy birth (no drugs) and he is so bright. I was 48 when he was born.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

How lovely, my congratulations to you. I hope you and your baby will have a long, happy and healthy years together.

I had my first pregnancy at age 40 but due to my circumstances at that time I had terminated the pregnancy. Then when I was 44 I became pregnant again ( naturally) but this time I had a miscarriage. I investigated why it happened. The test results showed that there was a chromosom abnormility. The baby would have been mentally and physically handicapped if he was born. As a result at age 48 I am now going with selective pregnancy where only my healthy eggs will be selected and fertilised. it is a new technique.
Have you followed a specific diet or vitamins? Also are you normal weight (I am over weight).

    Thank you
    Bernadette
