My husband & I are new parents at 52 & 46

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Friday, September 24, 2010 | 0 comments

My husband of three years and I are new parents to a 8 week old baby girl. He's 52 and I will be 46 next week. This is his first and my third (I have 17 year old twin daughters from my first marriage).

I am thrilled to be a mommy again, as he is to be a first time dad. We are loving every moment with our new addition.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
